Raging Stallion Celebrates XBIZ Awards Wins

SAN FRANCISCO — Gay adult production and distribution house Raging Stallion Studios is celebrating its dual win at last week's 2009 XBIZ Awards.

They have also released details about their next big-budget blue movie.

The company snagged GLBT Movie of the Year for their ambitious cowboy epic "To the Last Man 1-2," while its directing team of Chris Ward, Ben Leon and Tony Dimarco shared the XBIZ Award for GLBT Director of the Year.

The honors were presented Thursday night in Hollywood at Boulevard3 nightclub during a ceremony hosted by comedian Chris Wylde with Adam & Eve contract performers Bree Olsen and Kayden Kross.

"We are really thrilled by these wins. I think that this is the first time that three big-name directors have worked together successfully on a single project," Ward told XBIZ. "It is very exciting to be part of what is arguably one of the best production teams in the history of our industry."

The studio is pleased a gay adult movie with a substantial production and marketing budget received industry kudos.

"We were very concerned about the ability of 'To the Last Man' to make a profit," Ward said. "We spent a fortune making this movie, not even counting the time and physical effort. The fact that the movie is selling very well is reassuring."

Raging Stallion took the occasion of their XBIZ Award wins to announce details about their next large-scale production, an erotic crime drama with elements of '40s film noir.

"San Francisco was the backdrop for most of the great noirs of the 1940s, and we think we can take advantage of our location here in the city," Ward said. "Indeed, San Francisco will be one of the stars of the movie. We look forward to taking a crack at that genre." Casting will commence shortly with production set for June.
