“The Tom Sizemore Sex Tapes,” which will be in stores by Oct. 19, follows the Internet roll out of the same material by San Francisco-based XPays in late August.
“It really is a train wreck of a video,” XPays’ Evan Horowitz told XBiz. “He’s not Paris Hilton, but we’ve seen some surprisingly steady traffic. The tape is growing in popularity.”
Horowitz would not say whether his company made a deal with Vivid. “Let’s just say that we own the Internet rights; Vivid owns the DVD rights,” he said.
The DVD shows Sizemore as a considerate and apparently inexhaustible lover, appearing in a playful mood with the women, all young brunettes who appear to be friends with one another and with the actor.
The women perform sex with him and each other in a variety of settings. Some scenes appear to take place in hotel rooms and others in a private home.
While Sizemore has star power, Horowitz said the content is worth viewing on its own merits.
“The allure of the tape goes beyond his celebrity,” Horowitz said. “It’s Tom’s wackiness, his personality, his comfort in front of the camera, the comedy aspect, the high-quality video stream. The tape has multiple angles, multiple girls, groups sex, toy play — everything you’d want.”
Sizemore said in a statement that he had given the tape to a friend and acknowledged that they are authentic. He said that an unnamed third party contacted him and told him he intended to sell them.
Sizemore later agreed that he was not planning to file a legal protest as long as he was assured that he would get a percentage of the profits.
The actor has starred in numerous blockbuster movies, including “Black Hawk Down” and “Saving Private Ryan.”
But the actor is perhaps best known for his off-screen antics, including a widely publicized arrest for allegedly beating his then-girlfriend, infamous Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss, as well as several drug-related arrests.
