XBIZ Industry Conference, FSC to Host Forum on 2257 Developments

LOS ANGELES — The XBIZ State of the Industry Conference will host a special forum discussion regarding impending 2257 regulation revisions on Day 3 of the show, which takes place Feb. 10-12 at the Warner Center Marriott in Woodland Hills, Calif.

The special forum, scheduled Feb. 12 between 1-3 p.m., is open to all registered conference-goers who are interested in attending and/or affected by the 2257 regulations to spark conversation regarding a potential revision to included third-party record keepers. Anyone considering being a third-party record keeper or contracting with a third-party record keeper is encouraged to attend.

"XBIZ is pleased to offer this special opportunity to learn what 2257 regulation developments are in store for third-party record keepers," XBIZ President Alec Helmy said. "Our full slate of informational sessions and special events at State of the Industry Conference will deliver unprecedented value to this year’s attendees."

The Free Speech Coalition (FSC) will moderate the forum, and FSC Executive Director Diane Duke said her goal for the event is to determine if there is demand for these kinds of recommendations, and if so, who the best people are to facilitate their development.

Duke also said she believes it is the organization’s responsibility to provide essential resources like this to help industry members successfully run and maintain their adult businesses.

“Every time there is a development in 2257, be it rules and regulations or court cases, we receive a number of calls,” Duke said. “Third-party record-keeping represents a significant change, and we thought it beneficial to consider the development of recommendations to help industry professionals navigate these revised regulations. Special thanks to XBIZ for providing the room for the forum.”
