Through the China Internet Illegal Information Reporting Center, the ruling Communist Party in China has announced that MSN contains a significant amount of “inappropriate images” in its social messaging section and film channel.
The CIIRC, which “is mainly focused on contents harmful to the healthy growth of minors,” according to its website, has also issued further warnings for Google and Baidu, two of the 19 websites it slammed in its initial list last Monday. It included in its report that only three websites from the original list have done “relatively” well in their cleanups at this point, and that Good and Baidu are among those that still contain “vulgar” content and “need to continue the cleanup.”
Representatives from MSN, Google and Baidu could not be reached for comment.
