Daring Media Group Moving to Netherlands

BARCELONA, Spain — European production company Daring Media Group will be moving its headquarters from Barcelona to Almere, a small city outside of Amsterdam, with the transition expected to be completed Feb. 1.

Daring Media Group was founded at the beginning of 2007 to create high-quality productions to meet a rising demand for high-end content, and the company was quickly acquired by Germany-based retail operation Beate Uhse. The move to Almere will take advantage of Beate Uhse’s facilities and manpower in the area.

“Daring has proved to be a safe bet in the way that it has very quickly established itself as one of the top five studios in Europe, if not the world," said Serge van der Hooft, Beate Uhse COO and Daring Media Group managing director. "Now that Daring is a key brand in most strategic territories, the transfer to Almere will help us to get the full potential in terms of sales.

"Unfortunately, the decision to move headquarters to Almere is also a consequence of the departure of Marten Kull, who has decided to follow new professional challenges," van der Hooft said. Kull was Daring's director of sales and marketing in Barcelona.

"We are very sorry to say goodbye to Marten. His work since the launch of Daring Media Group has been absolutely instrumental in pushing Beate Uhse onto the world stage as an international contender in the adult content production and distribution market through the Daring brand.”

Van der Hooft said that the long-term experience in the adult industry of the staff at Daring Barcelona is valuable, "not to mention that they have grown with the company from day one. There will be a smooth transfer of competences until the whole operation is 100 percent handled from Almere."
