They're calling it the Smart Niche Video Player, and it works by first asking webmasters the URL of their site. The player then determines the site's niche and presents a Flash player, Flash banners or simple GIF banners that lead to a selection of niche-specific videos on a website called MovieRoom.com.
If the Smart Niche Player can't recognize the niche of a given site, webmasters can choose from more than 50 specialized players.
In addition, the player and banners rotate with each page load. To add this dynamic content, webmasters only have to add a small piece of code to their pages.
MovieRoom Owner Marc B said that his site offers plenty of content across a wide selection of niches.
"If the surfer wants more, they can change the channel to one of the more than 50 niches we offer at MovieRoom.com," he said. "If the surfer clicks on any of the advertising on the player, it will direct them to the targeted page at MovieRoom.com. They even have the option of watching the rest of the movie that they just sampled. This level of targeting ensures the greatest possible conversion ratio."
