"Like many folks, we've been so caught up with the election the past several weeks that we lost sight of our upcoming final call for entries," said Lisa Vandever, co-founder and director of CineKink. "So, to accommodate everyone that might be in the same frame of mind, we thought we'd offer a little extra time."
The extended final deadline for the festival is Nov. 29, two weeks after the original Nov. 15 deadline.
Entrants are welcome to submit films and videos of any length and genre "that explore and celebrate the wide diversity of sexuality. Dedicated to the recognition and encouragement of sex-positive and kink-friendly depictions in film and television, the festival is looking to blur some boundaries and will be considering offerings drawn from both Hollywood and beyond, with works ranging from documentary to drama, camp comedy to hot porn, mildly spicy to quite explicit — and everything in between."
There is a charge for submissions.
The specially curated CineKink NYC, set for Feb. 24-March 1, will also feature a short film competition, audience choice awards, presentations, parties and a gala kick-off screening and party. A national screening tour is planned for later in the year.
