The New Space for Women's Health grew out of the community of the Elizabeth Seton Childbearing Center, which closed in 2003. When it opens in 2010, New Space for Women's Health will offer an environment where midwives, mental health professionals, family educators and other professionals will provide services including prenatal and postpartum care, gynecological services, social work, and psychological care to more than 20,000 women and families each year.
Babeland and the New Space recently launched a speaker series on issues pertaining to motherhood and sexuality at Babeland's newest store in Park Slope in Brooklyn, N.Y.
The benefit will be held at Babeland SoHo, 43 Mercer St., in New York City, on Tuesday, Nov. 18, from 7-10 p.m.
