Pink Visual Features OhMiBod, Encourages Product Placement

VAN NUYS, Calif. — Pink Visual last week showcased OhMiBod products on iPinkVisualPass.com.

According to Pink Visual President Allison Vivas, the partnership between Pink Visual and OhMiBod was struck to extend business relationships beyond traffic and transactional sales.

“When we develop positive relationships we’re often able to provide more win-win opportunities,” Vivas said.

Through product placement, Pink Visual is encouraging the novelty industry to feature products in future Pink Visual episodes. Past partnerships include a campaign with Topco.

"The sex novelty industry is considered a little less taboo by mainstream American culture than DVDs alone,” said Kate Sylvan, marketing coordinator for Pink Visual. “Partnering with a known novelty line, particularly with the marketing genius of one such as OhMiBod, introduces Pink Visual to some of that mainstream spotlight. Also, having our girls using the fun and recognizable toys in our DVDs will give viewers the chance to really see the OhMiBod product in action and should drive OhMiBod product awareness and sales in return."

This partnership was the first for OhMiBod. Co-founder Brian Vatter said the technology-driven iPinkVisualPass project seemed like a natural fit.

“We hadn’t really set out to do this before,” Vatter said. “It hasn’t been our focus but it seemed like the right thing to do because it was tech-related, fun and correlated with our product.”

iPinkVisualPass.com allows members to access full-length scenes on their iPhone, video-enabled iPod and other compatible mobile devices. This allows members to access HD content previously stored on their phone when they are outside their coverage area.

"These two properties were made for each other: XXX videos for your iTunes and a vibrator for your iPod. You couldn't ask for a more perfect pairing," Sylvan said.

Additional scenes with OhMiBod products also are being showcased on Pink Visual's HerFirstLesbianSex.com and WifeSwitch.com, and will eventually make their way onto DVD, creating even more opportunities for cross promotion in stores at the retail level.

“The experience has been very positive,” Vivas said. “We have not only been able to provide exposure to other brands but have had the opportunity to provide variety to our productions and develop relationships that cross over into events, publicity, and benefit from traffic and sales generation.”

Vatter said the partnership has produced positive outcomes for OhMiBod as well.

“We get lots of inquiries,” Vatter said. “It has definitely increased awareness of what our products are and how they work. It’s great for us because we are new and this is helping our company grow with Pink Visual helping to get the word out. The experience has been good and positive for both companies.”

Vivas adds that working with the music-inspired vibrator also has garnered positive feedback from the music community.

Pink Visual plans to expand its product placement program to other adult novelty lines and encourages high quality adult product companies to contact them in regards to future promotional opportunities with Pink Visual.

Vivas said Pink Visual will team up with Fleshlight next for a gay production and is developing deals with recording artists.
