“The New Devil in Miss Jones,” starring Jenna Jameson and Savanna Samson, will be released in a three-disc DVD set that includes the original film and behind-the-scenes footage, as well as commentary by Jameson, Samson, director Paul Thomas Thomas and Georgina Spelvin, the original star of “The Devil in Miss Jones,” who plays a chambermaid in the new version of the movie.
“I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to do a remake that would be an homage to one of the great adult classics,” said Steven Hirsch, co-founder and co-CEO of Vivid. “It’s a universally appealing title with a suspenseful story line and powerful dialog to go along with the amazing sexiness that Jameson and Samson bring to the production.”
Vivid has produced translations of the new film that will be released simultaneously in five different languages — English, Spanish, French, German and Italian.
Originally released in 1972, "The Devil in Miss Jones" tells the story of Justine Jones, a spinster who commits suicide. Confronted by the Devil and faced with an eternity in Hell, she is given the opportunity to live one more day any way she wants. She chooses lust.
The original cast included Spelvin, Annette Haven, Kaye Parker, Vanessa del Rio, Rhonda Jo Petty, Seka, John Holmes and Ginger Lynn, who was the first Vivid Girl.
“The New Devil in Miss Jones” will be promoted with a campaign that includes a billboard in Times Square and a release party in New York City on Sept. 29 at Crobar.
