The Quiet

Right off the bat I was immediately impressed by the visual quality of this movie. The picture was sharp and clear (though not HD clear) and the sets and costume dressing were pleasing to the eye.

The Quiet follows Tommy Gunn (who plays a photographer) and Roxy DeVille (as his star model). After a classy photo shoot during the opening credits, Tommy and Roxy's session gets a little more ... erotic -- heh heh heh -- when he places a blindfold around her mouth (he likes silence, you see, and his photographs feature the gagged models).

This scene flips back and forth between black and white and color photography, but instead of coming off as a neat visual trick, it's more of a detriment as it detracts from the beautiful aquamarine setting.

This one's definitely worth a rental; it's visually arresting and the female cast is wonderful even if the story isn't the most coherent.
