Birth

Laura (Casey Calvert) is desperate to have a baby despite her husband Matthew's (Seth Gamble) reservations. When all traditional methods fail her, Matthew decides to seek the help of a fertility specialist named Dr. Bill (Daniel Shar). Laura is overjoyed when she finds herself pregnant at last; however, her dream quickly turns into a nightmare when her pregnancy comes with debilitating morning sickness and terrible dreams. Determined to support his ailing wife, Matthew hires a doula named Grace (Leana Lovings) to help her manage the pregnancy. But the longer Grace stays in her home, the more uncomfortable Laura becomes with her presence. Soon, Laura begins to wonder if Grace is truly the key to unlocking her dreams of being a mother or if she's the pathway to her family's destruction.

With "Birth," director Bree Mills returns to the feature genre for the first time since 2019, and it's hard to categorize her return as anything other than glorious. This film boasts some incredible acting and intensely emotional sex. Calvert is fantastic. The emotional weight of her performance drives the entire film and creates sex scenes that hit deeply beyond the surface level. Seth offers a sobering look at the state of masculinity as it exists in some circles, and Leana takes on a character that offers a peek behind the curtain of a religious zealot's psyche. Add to that Bree boldly showing sex from the standpoint of a fully pregnant body, and you've got a feature that neither apologizes for nor shies away from the story it wants to tell.

Things begin with Laura and Matthew struggling to regain the intimacy of their marriage. Their sex has lost its passion because all Laura can focus on is her desire to conceive. Sure, Casey and Seth look great having sex with each other, but they're both focused elsewhere instead of on each other.

When Matthew returns from a male excellence conference, he has a completely different attitude. He's more attentive, more supportive, and more focused on getting Laura pregnant. Their sex takes on a different tone, with Laura shocked but grateful for her husband's newfound interest while Matthew seems almost maniacal about the whole thing. He's more aggressive, willing to take her again and again until finally, after a visit to Dr. Bill, she gets pregnant.

The first trimester is brutal, with Laura suffering terrible morning sickness and horrifying nightmares. Enter Grace, brought into the picture by Matthew, who promises to help Laura through her pregnancy and beyond. Leana kills it in this role. Her young face, soft voice, and supple body present her as an innocent caregiver, but the way she fanatically mothers Laura while offering to fill the wifely space vacated by Laura's strained pregnancy drips poison. After an intense argument one night, Grace and Matthew suggest a yoni massage for Laura, and she reluctantly agrees. As Grace gently fingers Laura's pussy, she can't help but melt into the pleasure coursing through her body. She has an intense orgasm on Grace's fingers while Matthew and Grace steal lustful glances at one another.

Finding herself growing more dissatisfied with Grace's presence and Dr. Bill's care, Laura has a breakdown and falls into fitful sleep. She dreams of being fucked by a cadre of male nurses while Dr. Bill looks on. Laura feels almost as if she's accepting a punishment as her mind breaks. She's submissive and hungry, begging her pussy and mouth to be filled with any cock she can get her hands on, with the sole purpose of "making her a mother." The four nurses use her, and she aches for it.

Awakening violently, she searches for Matthew only to find him making passionate love to Grace in their bedroom. The contrast could not be more clear. Matthew and Grace are tender together, caressing each other gently and looking at each other with joy and love as they join their bodies. The betrayal sends Laura into violent labor.

The story ends with a narrative twist that will leave audiences stunned.
