Vera Newman lives the hollow life of a kept woman. Forced to watch her husband descend into despair as he comes to the realization that his new boss is slowly freezing him out, she copes with the high stress environment of their household through her intimate connection with her stepson Tyler, who sees her as being too good for his father. Meanwhile, Tyler’s girlfriend Alex suspects something is going on between her man and Vera, and she vows to figure out what, by any means necessary.

Missa X wrote and directed this sordid tale of forbidden love, untamable lust and bitter betrayal. With all the step-scenes being produced in adult today, it’s nice to see a studio take the genre and apply it to a fully-realized feature film. Tyler Nixon and Brad Newman both give very strong performances and they hold the entire movie together with their character portrayals. The sex in this movie serves the story at every turn and it reinforces the tone and tension of the narrative perfectly. If these scenes were all softcore, this could easily be a mainstream movie.

The opening sex scene sets the tone for the movie right away and establishes the torrid parameters of the most important relationship in the movie in the process. Tyler and Vera have great chemistry, and the way she resists Tyler’s advances feebly establishes just how much both parties want each other even though Vera makes a pitiful attempt to remain faithful to her husband. The forbidden nature of their sex is intriguing and arousing, even though everyone (including the audience) knows it’s wrong. I love the fact that Vera kept her panties on for the duration of the scene and of course the fact that Brad is sleeping mere feet away from his wife and son fucking each other is a huge libido stimulator. Vera really gets used as Tyler creampies her, then continues to fuck her until he reaches a second finish (this time on her stomach), followed by Brad waking up and taking her to bed for his own turn at her holes, completely unaware that his son has just been inside her. It’s a beautifully slutty opening.

Tyler and Alex have their own naughty tryst in his bedroom after she sneaks in unexpectedly. Again the panties stay on (I notice this happens a fair amount in Missa X’s movies) and Tyler pins Alex in half for a good portion of the scene which is great. The spoon is particularly nice and you can hear just how sopping wet Alex is as Tyler pounds away at her with sexual abandon.

The most impressively shot scene in the movie occurs in a cramped jeep jam-packed with boxes as Brad and Vera drive Tyler to college. Tyler and Vera are uncertain how their relationship will survive his move to college, and during the drive, they can’t help but fuck each other in the back seat, obscured by mountains of boxes, while Brad plows towards their destination with the radio blaring, completely oblivious. Despite the unorthodox nature of their relationship, this scene is actually quite emotional. It’s hard to condemn Vera and Tyler for sharing what could be their final intimate moments with each other and the music creates an almost fairy tale mood that sweeps the audience into their fantasy world where no one will judge them. It’s truly beautiful. On a different note, whoever filmed this scene deserves serious kudos because there is zero room in that jeep … and not only do the performers manage to have full on penetrative sex in the restrictive space, but the camera person manages to capture it all. And Missa X manages to create the illusion that the jeep is still cruising down the freeway in the dark of night. Incredible work by everyone involved.

After a major revelation, Alex and Brad hook up in the spacious patio of his house. What a great location! All the windows allowing a view of the dense trees outside create a nice visual backdrop to the sex and it’s a strong reminder that setting can have a huge impact on a sex scene. The blowjob is shot POV style which was fun, and the taboo nature of the older/younger couple is very strong in this scene, with Alex’s heart-shaped pubic bush being one of the details that creates this effect. It gives her a youthful feel and makes Brad seem much older than her. The mounted doggie in this scene is worth the price of admission even though it didn’t last very long. Holy cow was that awesome!

The sexual festivities conclude with Vera and Tyler once again succumbing to their lust for each other, but the emotional connection between them is different this time around and their sex reflects it. There’s a much more carnal feel to this scene as the goal seems to be physical pleasure rather than emotional coupling. Vera’s facial expressions are much dirtier, and Tyler is more callous with her than before. There’s an aggression between them that feels new. The movie’s conclusion is much more realistic than one might be accustomed to in porn, but it feels appropriate for the story being told.

This is another well done movie by Missa X. Her cast all do a fine job with their characters, but it is Tyler Nixon and Brad Newman who carry the movie on their broad shoulders. The actions, reactions and interactions of their characters makes the entire narrative work, and Missa X did well to cast both of them for such intense roles. The sex enriches the story in every way and includes the most impressive scene I’ve seen this year with the jeep sequence. Fans of step-porn who would like to see that genre expand beyond the industry status quo should find this movie quite enjoyable.
