The fantasies are presented as short films rather than full features which allows for a lot of narrative exposition and character development. “The Rising Tide” could almost be a play considering there are only two characters onscreen in the story, but therein lies the strength of the entire feature. Charlotte and Cecilia have so much room to embrace their characters as well as the story being told, and both ladies do a great job. Charlotte has become one of my favorite performers and I love the shy, yet frustrated demeanor she exhibits in this movie. Cecilia is a performer I was unfamiliar with before this film but wow is she gorgeous! She’s a perfect companion for Charlotte here and the chemistry between the two women is evident from the moment Cecilia sits down on the couch next to her.

I love that this scene takes its time without dragging. I liked the agency shown by both these ladies in this story. The take back the power Charlotte’s husband had over both of them by deciding to give him a show that he’ll never be allowed to take part in; that’s a very powerful message. The sexual action heats up very quickly, but there’s no sense of urgency forcing the women to get to the next position or manufacture an orgasm. Instead, they are allowed to immerse themselves in each others’ bodies for their pure pleasure. Charlotte’s tongue is a hummingbird on Cecilia’s pussy and Cecilia is understandably frozen in ecstasy while Charlotte laps at her. Charlotte Stokely is a gem of a woman, but Cecilia Lion is quite the vixen in her own right. I found myself mesmerized by her smile and honestly I could watch her all day. This was a great pairing by Serena Blair who acquits herself quite well helming the project as director, and the female gaze of the film is evident and noteworthy. Fans of lesbian sex or porn created by women should definitely check this one out. Oh, and please book Cecilia Lion for as much stuff as possible in 2020. She’s wonderful.
