Not Charlie's Angels XXX

Thanks to terrific parody acting, an entertaining storyline and keen attention to detail, director Will Ryder and producing partner Scott David may have outdone themselves with this irresistible takeoff the popular late ’70s TV series.

In X-Play’s version, San Dimas (Sabrina), Leone (Kelly) and Swallow (Jill) go undercover at New York’s Studio 54 where the corruption and debauchery is out of control due to unscrupulous owner Vincent Garbella (Marcus London). London plays a great villain and Garbella is as seedy as they come. He juggles coke dealing with a prostitution ring that even involves human sex trafficking, sending the Angels into action to find two missing celebrity daughters.

Meanwhile Dirty Harry is well cast as Garbella’s sleazy assistant Ralph, who gets to sex up Jill after she takes a job as a cocktail waitress in order to get inside the operation. The gorgeous Swallow shows plenty of promise in her first big role.

While Jill takes one for the team, San Dimas sparkles as Sabrina, who reluctantly uses her own detective skills to bang out a sizzling three-way with two horny clubbers (Seth Gamble and Cassandra Cruz) on her quest for more clues. Then there is Leone, who is incredibly sexy as Kelly in a casting coup by X-Play. She hooks up with rising star Breanne Benson in an absolute can’t miss girl/girl pairing.

With tongue firmly in cheek, Ryder cleverly blends in just enough dialogue before moving onto the next episode of depravity that seems to unfold at every break in the investigation.

Ryder & Co. leave nothing to chance as the production goes to another level with its colorful, disco-inspired wardrobe, spot-on set design and original music score. Factor in the fantastic performances by the Angels, an excellent mix of sex scenes and James Bartholet’s humorous turn as Charlie’s liaison Bosley, and X-Play and Digital Sin have a smash hit on their hands.
