Five Ways to Entice Fans When You're Texting Them

Five Ways to Entice Fans When You're Texting Them

Texting works in mysterious ways. Some people love it and choose it over face-to-face interaction, while others don’t fully vibe with it. But when you’re a cam model, texting is one of your power tools for bonding with users. That means follow-up messages to your fans, asking them how they are doing from time to time… keeping the flame alive, essentially.

But don’t worry, whether you’re already texting-savvy or still don’t know how to break the ice, I have some pro tips to help you better connect with your fans.

The question ‘what do you think of this outfit, should I wear it in my next stream?’ is very effective, for example, when sent with a picture of something skimpy.

PUT A NAME ON IT

Imagine meeting your celebrity crush or someone you admire a lot in a meet-and-greet. A day later, you encounter them again and they go, “Hey, [insert-your-name]!” It would be the highlight of the month that they remembered your name, right? Same with users. It’s something very simple, but it has a great impact. Forget about their username; see if they’re willing to tell you their real name, and whenever you’re messaging, address them by that name. This is how you can tap into the emotional part of their brain, which is a key goal.

VARY YOUR OPENERS

A lone “Hey” or “What’s up?” may get the job done once or twice, but it’s not a good idea to overuse them. Try to be original and think of something more thoughtful, such as “This reminded me of you” and similar phrases, which can work wonders. The point is to let the person know that you’re thinking of them. It’s all about making them feel special.

GO BEYOND WORDS

Up your messaging game with photos and videos. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words, so it’s time to put it to the test. Some camming platforms have messaging systems that allow you to send content to your members directly in the messenger program, and if that’s not cool enough, you can also charge them for receiving the content. Moreover, they can send you photos and you can set a price for that interaction too. In short, you’ll be reinforcing your relationship while getting paid for it.

MASS-MESSAGE FOR THE WIN

Why send 100 messages individually to different people when you can simply send one to all? The reason why some people are not into texting is because it can be time-consuming, especially when you have a line of fans simping for you. That’s why top platforms allow you to message en masse to your followers, while also enabling you to monetize those messages by attaching photos or videos with set prices users have to pay to unlock them.

ASK A HORNY QUESTION

A sexy but flexible opener can propel a convo forward while also unleashing fantasies. “The question, ‘What do you think of this outfit? Should I wear it in my next stream?’” is very effective, for example, especially when sent with a picture of something skimpy. Not only will it whet their appetite, but it’ll also show them that you care about their opinion. For an added kick, something along the lines of “What would we be doing if we were together right now?” can entice with spice.

Remember: camming revenue is not limited to the hours when you’re actually on cam. If you want to make a serious killing, you have to play all your cards. Texting can help you connect with fans in a more efficient and meaningful way, while generating an additional income stream in the process.
