Engaging With Fans One on One, Cam to Cam

Engaging With Fans One on One, Cam to Cam

I first started camming in 2018. I had dabbled in some male stripping before, but had never tried anything on cam. A buddy of mine suggested I try camming. He bugged me for almost two years and then finally one night I decided to give it a try. I signed up and immediately went on cam, with no research and no prep. I had no idea what I was doing and was just flying by the seat of my pants.

I gave myself a goal of making $75 in the first week and planned to try it out for three months; however, I made that in the first hour. I quickly realized just how much fun it was and how much money I could make camming and now, almost two years later, I have met some of the coolest and friendliest people I know. Camming has completely changed my life and I’m lucky that every night I get on cam, I get to spend time with an amazing group of friends.

Users share their cam because they want to be seen, so commenting on what they are doing, wearing or their environment gives them satisfaction.

Fostering Relationships Online

I am so thankful to have such a wonderful community that joins me online every night and chooses to spend their time with me. To help foster relationships and keep people coming back to your room, it is so important to keep everyone engaged. Users aren’t just there to see me, but to be together. They want to talk and to be heard. Especially in these COVID-19 times, it’s important for everyone to feel a sense of community and importance when they come into my room. This is our room, not just my room.

To keep users engaged, it’s also important that everyone feels welcome and that it’s a space for them too. When someone enters the chat, not only do I say “hello,” but everyone else in the room says “hello” as well.

Users aren’t just sitting back and watching me, they are engaging in conversation, dancing along with me and contributing to the overall cam room experience. Even when we do shots together, I engage with everyone in the room and make sure to say “cheers” to each user and repeat their name. I think it’s important to treat everyone the same and make sure I’m engaging with everyone whether they are big tippers or first-time viewers.

Making the Shift With Cam to Cam

Since some platforms offer a cam to cam feature, giving users the ability to privately share their cam with broadcasters during their live shows, this has really helped bring another layer of closeness and intimacy to my room. I can not only get live visual feedback on my shows, but I can also connect with my fans on a deeper level. Being able to visually see users in my room, not just during privates, but also during public shows, has helped me engage with my fans on another level.

On the broadcaster side, I can see up to five cams at a time while also broadcasting to the rest of the room on Chaturbate. At first it can be a little overwhelming to see five different cams, while also maintaining your cam show and chat; however, you get used to it. There’s also the option to drag, resize and move shared cams into separate windows or around the screen so you can still see yourself and your chat. Being able to see users gives me real-time visual feedback on the show and my performance. Seeing them light up when I talk directly to them, laugh along with my jokes or even look bored is so helpful and invaluable feedback.

Harnessing This Unique Type of Engagement

Using this additional visual element only helps improve my relationship with my fans. When a user turns on their cam, I make sure to give them a verbal compliment. It doesn’t have to be about their looks, but could be about their room, their clothes, the fact they are naked, if they have something of mine displayed, etc. Giving them personal attention and showing you are invested in them not only makes them feel loved, but also helps to foster your relationship.

Cam to cam has also added an additional level of engagement to my shows. I will tell users to do things with me, they will dance with me, I’ll make them do something before I complete their tip request and I’ll even comment if they are about to cum. Users share their cam because they want to be seen, so commenting on what they are doing, wearing or their environment gives them satisfaction.

Monetizing Your Cam to Cam Interactions

Allowing users to share their cam with me not only increases our connection but also allows for more money-making opportunities. I personally don’t charge for users to share their cam with me, but it can easily be done. Offering dick ratings, humiliation or physique reviews to your tip menu is a great way to add more options to your shows. Some fans just love to be watched, so the options are endless.

I call my room a big lovefest and having this additional tool to engage with fans has been wonderful. I am frequently chatting with my fans through other social media platforms, email and while online, but being able to see them during my shows has really heightened our relationship and brought a deeper bond to our community. When someone hasn’t been to one of my shows in a while, it’s great to talk to them and say, “I miss seeing you. Actually seeing you.”

Just describing cam to cam really doesn’t capture the true experience, so I encourage anyone who's intrigued to come to my room and check it out for themselves. Everyone is welcome! I’m on most nights. Hoping to see you on cam during one of my shows.
