Q&A: Bunny Marthy Reigns as Europe's Top Cam Model

Adorably charming Bunny Marthy is such a pleasure to watch on cam.

As she streams live or captures her energetic spirit in videos, what draws fans to her brightly lit corner of the internet is the human warmth and feminine grace she so fully embodies.

Almost seven years ago, I got information via an online modeling portal that it was possible to earn money by streaming.

And beneath her petite and bubbly personality, Marthy is brimming with ambitious business plans and creative smarts.

After all, she is a very fast learner, from mastering the English language to overcoming a rough start in her career, when an unscrupulous cam studio tried to take advantage of her newness to the industry.

“Almost seven years ago, I got information via an online modeling portal that it was possible to earn money by streaming,” she shared. “A woman that wrote to me seemed to be very kind, and it looked like she had a professional approach to working in this industry.

“It was like an online studio,” Marthy continued. “They created an account for me and I just had to share my earnings with them, and their function was to keep me anonymous. I kept asking to enter a contract that could secure both my interests and theirs, but they did nothing about it. This situation really worried me, but sex cameras in Poland were just appearing; it was something new. I had absolutely no idea that there was an opportunity to just work on cam on my own.”

Sure enough, her suspicions proved to be correct when she attempted to leave the studio and break out on her own. Amidst threats from the company and being doxxed with her personal data posted on the internet, Marthy nonetheless soldiered on with gritty determination.

“Of course, I don’t think that every company works in the same way nor that every company is terrible,” she reflected. “Still, I think everyone should do proper research and think ahead, if you’ll benefit from such collaborations.”

One such company that she has indeed found mutually beneficial to work with is Chaturbate, the main site she cams on. And as a self-starter, Marthy also works on her official site Yeabunny.com, while growing her up-and-coming Fanbea.com model platform.

Now, with seven years in the biz, Marthy has attained tremendous success, and even won the coveted 2020 XBIZ Europa Awards trophy for Female Cam Model of the Year. To learn more about this spritely and joy-filled creator, XBIZ sat down with Marthy, for this exclusive Cam Star of the Month interview.

XBIZ: How have you evolved as a performer and businesswoman over the years?

Marthy: I can say that camming changed everything and nothing. I’m still the same young woman that I was seven years ago. Now, I’m enriched with new knowledge, which I have been gaining for many years, and I’m still learning it. I’m also more rational and more careful, as well as trying to share my experiences and knowledge with the beginners in this industry, so they can avoid the mistakes that I’ve made.

Additionally, I’m taking streaming more seriously; it is not only my job, but also a great business. Me and my team try to develop all the time. I’ve employed a few new people, and also I’ve started a few projects. Of course, we can not forget about upgrading our equipment. I love it when my streams and films evolve all the time and give my viewers the best quality.

XBIZ: Who inspires you the most in the industry?

Marthy: It is a hard question, mostly because I don’t have one person who inspires me. I follow many people, and I’m trying to take the best content inspirations that work for me, from each person. I don’t have any favorite influencers; each one has their own inspiring and emotional history.

XBIZ: Discuss your ambitions for Yeabunny.com.

Marthy: I always try to be independent, of course, as much as it is possible. Yeabunny was a kind of answer to the platforms that allow you to sell your films, but that charge quite a big commission. We did a quick cost estimate, and we found out that with minimal cost to us, we can create such a web page and keep 100% of the profits for ourselves. It is the place where I’m free, where I can do whatever I want however I want. Currently, Yeabunny is used to sell mostly my own videos, but in 2021 we want to develop a sector of lesbian videos, and we may be posting other girls’ solo content or even boy/girl content.

XBIZ: Talk about Fanbea.com, which you are currently redesigning for a relaunch in Q1 2021. What will make it a unique platform for performers?

Marthy: Fanbea is the biggest project in which I have the pleasure to co-create. Without an investor, we managed to build a social media platform, which allows creators to share both free and paid premium materials (available for fans after paying for a monthly subscription). It also has some basic options such as search, messages and so on. The platform has successfully passed all the tests, and in a few days, we gained 1,000 users.

The most important feature of Fanbea and what distinguishes it from other competitive companies is, again, commission. During testing, the commission was set to 0%, and we want to keep this as long as our wallets will allow us to do it. In the future, we want to make it as low as possible, to give creators the freedom that they will never get on other platforms. Unfortunately, it is a costly enterprise, so we are open to any investments.

XBIZ: What is your favorite website to cam on and why?

Marthy: Definitely Chaturbate! It is extremely well-designed and still developing. They listen and care about their users. And they try to give the users and streamers the best experience while using their platform. There are still many things that can be improved, but I think it is cool. I also like that I can adjust my room to my own preferences and that Chaturbate allows and helps develop my social media.

XBIZ: How do you balance creating clips with your camming schedule and everything else you do?

Marthy: Oh, I’m such a couch potato, and I’d prefer to spend my whole life in my bed, so it is tough to motivate me to work. Well, fortunately, I can pull myself together and do everything I have to do and do it as best as I can. I also try not to put pressure on myself if I’m not in a mood to stream on a specific day or I’m not feeling well; I value the fact that I’m my own boss, and I can put my mental health first.

XBIZ: Tell us about your marketing strategy on social media for growing followers.

Marthy: I don’t have any unique, advanced marketing strategy for my accounts (Bunny Marthy). I treat my Twitter very personally to improve relations between my followers and me. On Instagram, I’m not that active, and I mainly use Stories to be in touch with my viewers and answer their most profound and pressing questions.

I try to be myself, not lie, not manipulate my followers and not talk down to anyone. I try to be the same person on the internet and in real life: a kind and warm person. I think it is the main reason people are attracted and want to follow me.

XBIZ: What was it like winning Female Cam Model of the Year at the 2020 XBIZ Europa Awards?

Marthy: It was a big surprise for me! I didn’t expect this, and I think that you could see it; I was shocked. I’m extremely glad that I’ve won this award; it means so much to me. I put in a lot of work over the years to make my streams look like this, starting with learning English and ending with upgrading my equipment. I’m happy that someone noticed it.

XBIZ: Any big plans or goals for the coming year?

Marthy: First of all, I would like to develop Fanbea; it is my biggest project, so far. I put a lot of work and money into it. I hope that we have an opportunity to show that it is possible to better run such a platform. My big goal is also to record lesbian porn with new girls, as well as more known girls from the industry and create our small lesbian empire, haha. It is essential to me to make ethical porn. Besides that, I dream about recording something with a bigger company, like Brazzers.
