WIA Profile: Katy

Katy is a master of leveraging camming traffic from BongaCams as the head of the affiliate department for BongaCash, recruiting and retaining affiliates with the promise of a strong conversion rate.

After five years of hard work for the Bonga brand, Katy has learned how to adapt her strategies and absorb knowledge from colleagues within the company and beyond.

We know exactly what affiliates want when searching for the perfect offer to promote, and we provide it to them.

By attending trade shows and seeking frequent feedback, she ensures that BongaCash is closely attuned to the latest and greatest trends driving the cam industry forward.

To spotlight this all-star entrepreneur, XBIZ sat down with the Woman of the Month for this WIA profile.

XBIZ: Discuss your career and education before you started working in the adult industry.

Katy: Before joining BongaCams about five years ago, I was working in a completely different field. With my enthusiasm for new challenges as my trusted backpack, starting out in the adult industry felt like embarking on an exciting adventure.

My good education also helped me in that journey — I quickly got the hang of things and handled every given task with ease. Today, I can honestly say that I’ve found my calling: I love what I do and can’t think of any job I would rather have.

XBIZ: What led you to join the Bonga team?

Katy: I always push myself to the limit, so joining BongaCams seemed like an excellent chance to see what I was capable of, as well as experiencing the thrill of working in a completely new field. The adult industry is vast and interesting; there’s a lot to learn and explore from different perspectives — no matter if you’re working on the affiliate’s or the performer’s side.

XBIZ: Describe your role at BongaCash as the head of the affiliate department. What does a typical day look like?

Katy: We have a great variety of daily tasks and I wouldn’t say that every day is just the same. My team and I are always implementing new features so that both affiliates and performers have the best working experience with us. Each day is all about improving and keeping results at a satisfactory level.

XBIZ: How do you interface with other members of the Bonga team and its various brands, to achieve shared goals?

Katy: The BongaCams team is like a big and loving family where each voice matters. And we all long to reach one desired goal — to be the best brand out there. That is why we always share our ideas with each other and have discussions on how we can improve. Strong teamwork leads to the successful achievement of all goals.

XBIZ: What have been a few of your accomplishments at BongaCash that you are most proud of?

Katy: Maintaining close and excellent collaboration with all of our affiliates, both new and old, by providing them with fantastic ways of boosting their profits and meeting them personally at adult industry summits. I believe we have excelled in communicating and helping our affiliates.

XBIZ: How do you recruit new affiliates to sign up for your company product offerings?

Katy: First of all, BongaCash speaks for itself. We know exactly what affiliates want when searching for the perfect offer to promote, and we provide it to them. At the same time, we have a delicate and individual approach to every new affiliate.

Secondly, BongaCash sponsors and visits all of the major adult industry summits like XBIZ, AWSummit, LALexpo, TES and others to increase brand awareness and find new partners. That being said, I would like to point out numerous awards we have won over the past years at these events thanks to all of our affiliates and friends.

Lastly, but most importantly, we have an outstanding team of affiliate managers, who devote themselves to helping existing affiliates and finding new ones.

XBIZ: Discuss the ways you partner with affiliates to maximize success and long-term retention.

Katy: We provide one of the best monetization programs in the industry: PPS up to $4.5 per sign-up, RevShare up to 25 percent per sale and Referral up to 5 percent. Additionally, we recently added a Hot Mode feature that can raise PPS rates by 1.5 times and a Customer Return Bonus where affiliates earn extra money for the returning users.

We are also proud of our extremely efficient promo tools: Dynamic banners, Popunders, White Label, Pre-rolls, Postitial, Chat Head and so on. Every day I hear high praise from all of our partners for the hard work we have done, and that makes me feel like we are on the right track.

XBIZ: How has BongaCash improved your professional skills, given the unique responsibilities of your job?

Katy:  BongaCash gave me the opportunity to broaden not only my professional, but also my interpersonal horizons, and showed me that there is always room for improvement.

XBIZ: Tell us about the challenges and opportunities of the modern day affiliate landscape. What is BongaCash doing to stay ahead of the curve?

Katy: The main challenge would probably be staying unique, but given all of our current plans and ambitions, we have that covered. At the moment we welcome all affiliates to check out our new Hot Mode for the PPS program and Customer Return Bonus, as well as try our newcomers from the Promo tool section: Postitial and Chat Head.

XBIZ: What are your biggest goals for 2019 and beyond?

Katy: Our biggest goal for this year and beyond is to become even more efficient, grow our affiliate, performer and user base, and find new business opportunities in the adult industry. We are going to roll out some new developments soon, so stay tuned! Big things are coming for BongaCams and BongaCash in 2019.
